Yapemeyepuka, means ‘together’ in Yorta Yorta language and highlights the collaboration of Alkina Edwards (the young Aboriginal artist living on Yorta Yorta Country and the creative behind AlkinasCreations) and Grace + Marie (the business hand-pouring the candles on Wadawurrung Country) coming together to handcraft this limited-edition soy candle for you to enjoy.
We combined our artistic talents into one creative art piece that proudly displays Alkina's artwork front and centre on the label of our most popular scented candle, Kakadu Plum.
This candle is more than a decorative piece to have in your home though, it is a product designed to not only showcase our talents but also support an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation that assists Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victims/survivors of family violence and sexual assault. A portion of every sale from this candle is donated to Djirra; to learn more about who they are + what they do we urge you to visit their website.
SCENT NOTES:
This gorgeous artist-inspired soy candle is Kakadu Plum scented - a robust, fruity fragrance with notes of passionfruit, guava and melon, highlighted with fresh lime resting on a base of coconut and tonka bean.
